DMCA Copyright Policy & Notice-and-Takedown Procedure
Last updated: November 2, 2026
YTMP4.ink respects the intellectual property rights of creators, artists, and media companies worldwide. It is our policy to respond expeditiously to clear, formal notices of alleged copyright infringement in full compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (17 U.S.C. § 512, "DMCA") and corresponding international intellectual property treaties.
Understanding YTMP4's Architecture
Before filing a notice, please understand the technical nature of our platform:
- We Do Not Host Files: YTMP4 does not operate a public media library, persistent video archive, or searchable directory of copyrighted files. All media processed through our platform is sourced directly from external YouTube servers at the specific technical request of the individual user.
- Transient Processing: Intermediate stream files created during audio-video FFmpeg merging are held on volatile storage and automatically destroyed within minutes of processing completion.
- URL Blocking Capability: Although we do not store files, we maintain an active administrative blacklist. Upon receipt of a valid DMCA takedown notice identifying specific YouTube video IDs or channel URLs, we can permanently block our converter engine from parsing or extracting streams from those designated links.
Designated DMCA Copyright Agent
All formal infringement claims should be directed to our designated copyright agent:
Designated DMCA Agent: YTMP4 Copyright Compliance Office
Email Address: [email protected]
Subject Line: Formal DMCA Takedown Notice
Required Elements of a Valid DMCA Notice
To ensure prompt processing under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your written notification must include the following information:
- Identification of the Copyrighted Work: A clear description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or if multiple works are covered, a representative list of such works.
- Identification of the Infringing Material: The exact YouTube video URL(s) or video ID(s) (e.g.,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...) that you request to have blocked from our conversion tools. - Contact Information: Your full legal name, company or organization (if applicable), mailing address, telephone number, and an active email address where our compliance team can contact you.
- Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law (such as fair use).
- Accuracy & Penalty of Perjury Statement: A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Signature: A physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name is acceptable) of the copyright owner or authorized representative.
Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to substantial liability for damages, including court costs and attorney fees.
Counter-Notification Procedure
If you are a content creator whose video link was restricted or blocked on our platform as a result of a DMCA notice, and you believe this was done through error, misidentification, or that you hold legitimate rights/licenses to the content, you may submit a formal counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).
Your counter-notification must be in writing and include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was blocked and the location where it appeared prior to restriction.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was blocked as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your judicial district.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, our agent will forward it to the original complaining party. If the complaining party does not file a court action seeking a restraining order within 10 to 14 business days, we may unblock the designated URL at our discretion.
